THE RELEASE:

Indie project The fin.'s new song “Echoes” arrives just three months after their last release, which marked the 10th anniversary of their debut album, Days With Uncertainty.

Opening with ambient sounds of insects and birdsong, the song weaves Yuto Uchino's velvety, melting vocals with shimmering, floating synths, creating a lush, atmospheric soundscape. As the track progresses, laid-back drumming builds into a psychedelic, danceable groove, evoking the serene beauty of Uchino’s childhood home. Uchino describes the song as an exploration of identity and a return to pure, unfiltered emotions, offering listeners a cleansing journey to their own inner sanctuary.

Additionally, The fin. will continue their series of physical releases with the 7-inch vinyl of “Night Time (Bad Milk Remix)” for RECORD STORE DAY 2025 on April 12, commemorating the 10th anniversary of their debut album.

In May 2025, aligned with plans for shows in the UK, they will release two 7-inch records featuring the singles "Towards the Sun" and "Alone in the Sky," along with two new tracks. All tracks are to be included on a full album set to be released late 2025.

On the release, The fin. comments, “‘Echoes’ is a journey into the quiet heart of my hometown. A hill under endless stars, where the air feels alive with clarity and memory. This place became a mirror for my soul, reflecting the person I used to be and guiding me toward the simplest, purest version of myself. The song weaves through questions of identity and the deep pull of nostalgia, inviting you to explore your own echoes of the past. I hope it resonates something within you.”
