Talking Heads, Radiohead, and all the best bits of post-punk and grunge in a blender. A parcel of thumping perfection—N E Volume Magazine
Formerly the band Young Hegelians, the members dispersed and spent time in California, Budapest, and Hartlepool. Now joined by an ex-member of cult heroes ‘Head of Light Entertainment,’ they have had several gigs in Teesside. These events have garnered them a sterling reputation as a live band with perfectly arranged tunes, despite having no music released to date.

The song is a character study of an individual who clamours for social approval while their popularity decreases in the age of bots and social media enshittification. The title is a reference to the disease of narcissism pervading everyday life and the illness it inflicts on those who fall prey to it. The track is a crashing blitz of Clash-like guitars and waves of synth against dissonant jazz chords and polyphonic vocals.
The track is available on all major streaming platforms, including YouTube.
