SINGLE REVIEW: The Pearl Harts - Hypercritical

I first encountered The Pearl Harts at Isle of Wight Festival years ago and was bowled over by their stage presence. These girls radiate confidence and style.

New single 'Hypercritical' is no different beaming with fuck-you pretentious energy. The vocals are in your face with swagger and endearing nonchalance. Taking elements of eletronica and teaming them with a raw punk attitude.

It's the kind of track that makes you walk a bit taller with a confident strut.  'Hypercritical' blast as it challenges what it means to be a woman in rock. It's a spirited, exhilarating, playful power-pop anthem. A not bullshit slice of girl power.

Electronic vibes and layered with funky drum machines, screaming ballsy riffs and growling distortion. 'Hypercritical' is a track that shows anything the boys can do the girls can do, only better!

Amy

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (Iā€™m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜œ) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
