Radiator sign to No Distance Records, new single out Jan 17

London post-punk band Radiator are releasing new single ‘Nekrasova’ on Friday January 17 through No Distance Records.

The tune is a searing slice of indie rock that brings to mind Joy Division at their most frantic, The Ramones at their most combustible, and The Smiths at their most direct.

“The song is about doing what you want to do and feeling ten feet tall while you do it, so it’s for people that want an uplifting track they can shout at the top of their lungs,” said Radiator singer Ollie Ledwith.

The track is the third release from a group that have carved out a niche in the grassroots music scene, picking up a dedicated following that has seen them sell out venues across London and Essex.

Radiator have also picked up support from BBC 6 Music DJ Steve Lamacq, who showed his love for debut record ‘Solace’ by playing it on his show, unprompted.

‘Nekrasova’ is being released by No Distance Records, the label that broke into the Official Charts in 2024 with its very first vinyl release and ended the year by putting out a compilation record of bands and acts it loves from the London music scene.

No Distance Records co-founder Owen Bennett said: “Intense, brooding, brilliant – Radiator represent all the things we want No Distance Records to champion. They are the fusion of furious intellect and straight-to-the-vein songwriting we have been waiting for.”

Radiator formed in 2023, and cite The Stone Roses, The Smiths, and The Pixies, among their key influences, as well as The Fall, The Strokes, and Joy Division.
