Highly absorbing UK alt rock crew MIDLAND RAILWAY are poised to release their captivating self-titled album on Friday 14th February. Pulled together through their collective obsession with live music, Magic the Gathering tournaments, and LTA local tennis leagues, MIDLAND RAILWAY have constructed a unique vibe and art that are engrossing and individual. Their compelling mixture of melodic geek-rock pulls influence from a plethora of areas from the thick and lush guitar tones of Weezer, to the lyrical secrecy of Bright Eyes, and the astuteness of Jimmy Eat World. MIDLAND RAILWAY’s music is motivated by their distinctive interests and pastimes ranging from such eccentric topics as Pokémon, online football management, and serial killers.
MIDLAND RAILWAY come at you from Manchester, England, and have always had a strong appetite for live performances. To date they have played a glut of shows throughout the whole of Northern England. Their recent gig at Manchester Academy 2, and their headline performance on the closing night of the International Pop Overthrow festival at The Cavern Club in Liverpool, highlight their rising reputation and expanding fanbase.
The band are now ready to kick on and are armed with their stunning new self-titled album which is stacked with ten hooky tracks and a hatful of potential singles.
