Liverpool’s RIVIA share new single 'Fallin'

RIVIA hit the ground running in 2025 with a new single ‘Fallin’ (releasing 31st January) following a support slot for US group Hold Fast. ‘Fallin’ has all the elements of a nostalgic, coming of age, naughties anthem with modern inflections. With the 2000’s coming back into fashion, RIVIA are at the forefront of the trend with this release that fans of Sum 41, Busted and Blink-182 will love.

With support from BBC Introducing on previous releases (assigned to Alyx Halcombe introducing on RADIO 1, rock and BBC future alternative) RIVIA continue their rise in the industry. With over 100K streams on Spotify alone, RIVIA give their all to their loyal supporters, this is no better observed than at their live shows. Whether it was to a hometown audience at their sold out headliner in Liverpool Arts Club Loft, or to a full tent of complete strangers on This Feeling’s stage at YNOT festival, RIVIA live shows are an experience like no other.

Recorded at Sugar House, ‘Fallin’ is a testament to RIVIA’s ability to hook the listener and keep them interested. The catchy 2000’s-esque tagline at the start of the song is an auditory delight that leaves listeners humming it back for days. The theme of the lyrics is that of a bittersweet ‘what could have been’ story, reminiscent of an unspoken relationship that never fully materialised.

Coming from Liverpool, England, RIVIA’s repertoire has taken them across the country, seeing them support high profile artists such as The Wombats, Hold Fast, The Sheratons, Mallory Knox, Muddy Elephant, and Bloxx. They have performed in major cities to crowds of thousands, including at festivals such as Isle Of Wight, YNOT, Endorset, and have headlined Den Fest and Bickerstock.

These four lads take their local hero status across the country, on a mission to bring the rock band back to the forefront of popular music. By combining the best parts of 80’s Classic Rock with 00’s Alt-Rock and Pop-Punk, RIVIA manage to create a sound which is a thing unto itself, unique from everything else, but reminiscent of the past greats of the early 2000’s. Securing countless streams, selling out shows, and gaining recognition from music tastemakers, exciting times await for RIVIA.
