Cian Airoldi releases single ‘Love Somebody’
Artist Bio:
Cian Airoldi is an Italian - Irish independent rock musician from Dublin. Cian has worked as a songwriter, producer and performer of his own music since 2016 and since then has become known for his unique blend of thrashing guitar lines and soaring vocal melodies with a thought provoking and sometimes conversational lyrical style. Boasting several EPs and his debut album “The Enhancement Phase” which was released in June 2023, Cian has solidified his reputation as a truly exciting young Dublin act and has gained popularity particularly as of late off the back of several successful live performances in iconic Dublin venues such as Whelan’s, Crowbar, The Sound House and Sin É. Cian’s selection of releases serve an exciting new sound boasting artistic influence from acts such as Coldplay, U2, Noel Gallagher and Kasabian.
New Single – Love Somebody
Cian’s first release of 2025, titled “Love Somebody” is due for release on Friday 14th February, Valentine’s Day being a very fitting release day given the subject matter of the song.
Lyrically, the song explores the emotions of romantic love but more presently, the fear of losing that love. The verses tell a story of two people growing apart and longing for different adventures in life while both want to work to stay connected to eachother with the memorable chorus repeating “If you love somebody, you’ve got to let somebody know before somebody goes”. The story culminates with the two being unable to resolve their differences and ultimately growing apart while still focusing around the motif of expressing the feelings they have for eachother.
Stylistically, the song is guided by Airoldi’s signature highly compressed driven electric guitar which is paired with an exciting rhythm section of which keeps a lively, danceable energy present throughout the song which is heightened by the lyrical content. The song comes to its musical climax with a bouncing, chantable series of “La La Las” which has captivated audiences when performed at Airoldi’s live shows as both Airoldi and the crowd instinctively join together for the repeated euphoric melody.
