Bristol’s Shy Pilot Take Flight with Debut Single “Stop Start”
Bristol-based alt rock band Shy Pilot have officially dropped their debut single, "Stop Start"—a statement of intent from a band ready to make their mark on the music scene.
Shy Pilot formed nine months ago and have been writing and shaping their first set of songs for audiences in and around the South West. Recorded at Humm Studios, Stop Start captures the anthemic yet dynamic qualities that define the band's sound; chiming pop melodies interspersed with waves of pounding distortion.
The band takes influence from all over the rock spectrum drawing from pop hook driven bands such as Jimmy Eat World and the Maccabees to ethereal, distortion-drenched outfits like DIIV, Sonic Youth and Amusement Parks on Fire.
Follow up single ‘Glow Fade’ due to be released mid May. ’
