Ziggy Splynt share “Airlock” EP - Out Now

Ziggy Splynt's EP “Airlock" is officially released on the 20th of April. After releasing three singles to critical acclaim internationally, the band is set to come forth with their first fully self produced EP. The sonic landscape of the work is an exploration of the sci-fi aesthetic, and is 

greatly influenced by its cinematic counterpart. After being in the works for three years, a new Ziggy Splynt sound is unleashed. 

In collaboration with Plato Utrecht Records, Ziggy Splynt presents their first vinyl pressing ever. Since the “Airlock” EP is the first that is wholly recorded, produced, and mixed by the band, it seems like the perfect first vinyl pressing. Since the release of the first single “Crashfix” Ziggy's audience has been expanding steadily, with media coverage across the globe. 

Bassist Thomas Rikkers about the EP: “In the process of writing the songs we were focused on delivering fairy-tale like stories. The song “Airlock” especially embodies a journey through different arrangements and iterations, as well as a lyrical journey. It all comes together in the 

chorus of that song. Playing the songs live is also a lot of fun, the new direction we're going in gives us loads of inspiration for new songs! It truly feels like an evolution of the Ziggy sound.”

Hailing from Utrecht this bombastic alt-rock three-piece has years of live experience under their belts. From participating in Popronde, to multiple UK Tours, and playing aftershows for Within Temptation in AFAS live to performing on various national radio stations such as 3FM and KINK FM.
