TurboWitch drop new video 'Only Lonely Lovers Die Young'

TurboWitch is an interesting assortment of multi-genre musical layers and influence combined with magical fantasy. The bands theme itself is based around the musical collaboration of Merlin and Morrigan along with their coven of witches and wizzards to create an infusion of storytelling in a Gothic, Grunge and Blues style. Taking classical training and musical studies, the man behind the band (Mark Llewellyn) has thrown together multi-genres with a soulful female vocalist and somehow........ it works!

Merlin says about the track - "When once again everything seemed to be pointless, and doomed, Merlin found solace in a lesser-known Alice in Chains classic. Inspired, Merlin tried to recreate this bittersweet feeling with only two simple chords, just like in this AIC track. A live-long fascination with the Doors ‘The End’ once resulted in Merlin creating a lil’ jingle. As both pieces of music share the same mood, he combined them which opened the door … but to what? Once the lyrics came, they brought in the missing magic substance: LOVE! And the alchemical reaction was unstoppable, still is.
PS: Despite the fact that Tilda Swinton is one of  my all-time favourite actresses, the lyrics are not inspired by the movie ‘Only Lovers Left Alive’ at all … are they?"

This is a track that you will no doubt have to listen to multiple times to work out where you stand on it and how it can throw so much into the mixing bowl and still produce something that turns out so well. With each listen, you'll discover more and more and fall further into the (Turbo) Witches grasp!

"The EP (Alchemy) sends the listener through the stages of transformation: The dark enthralling stage of chaos, the sudden urge to break free, reaching for your highest - from the dark to the light. One song for each stage of this journey, six in total as the listener wanders through the three stages twice. Guessing the songs that represents the stages is all part of the fun! 'Follow The Witch' is one of the many adventures and we hope that whoever listens to it, becomes as enchanted by it as we did creating it!

As for our unique sound, that came to be as finally the right ingredients were combined: rock, goth, grunge, blues, metal, and jazz. A mix of emotions like love, anger, loss, joy, fear, passion, frustration and dreams... all bubbling away in a cauldron... just like in an alchemical lab!
" - Merlin, Turbo Witch
