Singer songwriter Tom Webber releases his follow up to “Face in the Crowd” with new double A single – Lightning Strike of ’22 and Sunday Morning on May 19th 2023 recorded at RAK Studios, London.

Both songs feature Tom’s melodic voice and distinctive song writing that is now starting to define him and Lightning Strike of ‘22 sees him take a personal view of his relationship with his brother.

“Lightning Strike Of ’22 narrates my brother and I coming home from the pub one evening when a heavy thunderstorm started. As the rain got heavier, we got into deeper and more philosophical conversations about life itself and appreciating what we have and what’s to come.  Who knows if this night created a tighter bond between us, a closer connection with mother nature itself… or maybe I just thought that’s a good idea for a song!”

It’s no secret that Sunday mornings have provided inspiration for bands from Velvet Underground to Maroon 5 to write about. And while the times and culture may have changed, Sunday mornings maintain the same significance to our lives as they always have done. In many cases, it marks a time to look forward to where we can ‘laze in bed’ and forget about the working week

Tom Webber at just 23, can credit artists as diverse as Nick Lowe, and The Beatles to Artic Monkeys and Jake Bugg as strong influences growing up and indeed toured with Nick on his UK tour last year. A busy summer of festivals and a publishing deal followed for Tom at the end of 2022 and 2023 sees a busy year ahead of writing, recording and more shows soon to be announced.
