Just over a month until the release of third studio album Rock 'n' Roll Saviour, German rock band THE DEADNOTES share their brand new single ‘Show Me What Love Is’ set for release on 17th January 2025.

Picking up its first national UK radio play from John Kennedy at Radio X earlier this week, the single is the final to be taken from their uproariously good new album Rock 'n' Roll Saviour, released 21st February 2025 via Grand Hotel van Cleef.

Clear evidence that the band have finally “arrived”, Darius Lohmüller and Jakob Walheim took their time over the past few years to develop the new record, and boy did they succeed—now more than ever, The Deadnotes have found their trademark sound.

The new single comes across light-footed and funky, with a brass section inviting you to the dancefloor where it explodes into glittering Gala-indie-rock boasting both a guitar and a saxophone solo. Ambassador, you are spoiling us…

Commenting on the single, the band said: “‘Show Me What Love Is" is about modern dating in the 21st century, dressed in an ‘80s outfit. How do we find the ultimate romance we’re longing for in a time when no one ever feels enough, or fulfilled? How can we get in touch with our true feelings when every reel, meme, or Tik Tok we come across each day is only giving us ironically broken relationship advice, that nothing makes sense and we could just as well give up right now.”

With their new single, The Deadnotes aren’t trying to provide any answer to these questions—they're merely saying: ‘Give me your hand, and together we'll figure it out.’

On their third full-length, Darius Lohmüller and Jakob Walheim update the audiovisual aesthetics of artists like Huey Lewis, Tom Petty and the rock'n'roll of the 1980s for our modern times. It’s unfiltered, pure music that could only exist because of the two artists' blind trust and love in each other. Nothing is off the table between the two musicians, who've been playing together since their childhood.

Along with the help of their fellow live musicians Felix Overhoff on drums and Paul Hofer-Bottomley on saxophone/keyboards, Rock 'n' Roll Saviour sounds playful, wild, and bursting with the spirit of euphoria.

The band also recently announced their first batch of album tour dates, with the first leg of the tour taking place in Germany starting in March 2025 as a four-piece with Overhoff on drums and Hofer-Bottomley on piano, saxophone and percussion duties.

THE DEADNOTES have played more than 600 stages all across Europe, so fans can rest assured that this is just the beginning of their live schedule revealed for the record.

Shows in the UK will be announced in due course.
