Strand Of Oaks shares video for new single "Party At Monster Lake" from upcoming album "Miracle Focus" out 7th June via Western Vinyl + Announces live dates including London's Omeara

Following first single “More You”, today Strand Of Oaks shares “Party At Monster Lake” from his upcoming album Miracle Focus out 7th June via Western Vinyl. The song welcomes Tim Showalter’s fellow misfits and outcasts, exalting the bond of chosen family and the rejuvenating force of community. With its anthemic chorus and rich, psychedelic synths, the song takes listeners on a transcendent journey, where every note resonates with the spirit of unity and acceptance. The single comes accompanied by a semi-surreal, intimate slice of life music video featuring a panda father and son having a perfect day out, filmed in Nijmegen, Netherlands. Click HERE to watch.

Director Ruud Gielen says of the video: “When Tim asks to embody having the best time of your life on video, there is only one way to go: do it while making memories with loved ones. ‘Party at Monster Lake’ feels like how we want to relive our memories. Golden sunsets, the best weather, no clock ticking and smiles for days.”

Additionally, Strand Of Oaks have announced news of live shows which include a performance at London’s Omeara on 22nd September. The dates are listed further down.

Miracle Focus marks a bold departure from Showalter’s previous introspective and deeply cathartic works that tapped into his own traumas. The songs on Miracle Focus celebrate bliss and connection, and were written following Showalter’s transformative embrace of meditation. Influences like Ram Dass, Alice Coltrane, Freddie Mercury and the Beastie Boys weave through the deeply fun album, creating a joyful soundscape rich with synth layers and mantra-like lyrics.

Miracle Focus was crafted over the past three years during a time in which Showalter’s life underwent extensive creative expansion outside of music. This period saw him flying between his home in Austin, TX, where he took up painting in his garage including creating Miracle Focus’ album art, to Los Angeles, where he played a villainous biker on two seasons of FX’s Mayans M.C., marking his acting debut. This artistic expansion fueled a journey of liberation and a fresh approach to songwriting.

Showalter says: “Every moment on Miracle Focus is a piece of the architecture that fits together to form a temple of peace in my life. Acceptance of who you are, gratitude of being part of a connected universe, and ultimately, I hope it creates one hell of a dance party.”

Miracle Focus is a collaborative effort, with producer Kevin Ratterman (Ray LaMontagne, Heartless Bastards, Joan Shelley) returning as a key partner. Together, they achieved a seamless creative flow in the studio, further invigorated by the presence of Lacey Guthrie on vocals. The album title embodies the collective energy that emerges when individuals come together with purpose and passion. It's a celebration of bliss and the simple beauty of existence.
