SINGLE REVIEW: Three Divorces - Bingo Nans

Three Divorces is the brainchild of Lowestoft based Will Murray. Born during the boredom of COVID enforced isolation, Three Divorces first introduced himself to the world in April 2022.

Latest single 'Bingo Nans' is as simple as the name suggests, a song about Nans going to bingo. The track, which is most definitely not radio friendly thanks to repeated line "they fucking love it" (there's a radio edit but to be honest blanking the swearing out simply doesn't work, maybe replacing it it fudging might have been better) is a frantic, raucous display of perfectly imperfect punk energy.

Loud, silly and fun Will prides himself on tongue in cheek lyrics that don't take themselves seriously and exist with the aim of raising a smile!

As the pace lulls and the chanting vocals become spoken the song details a more volatile nan who stabbed her husband in the neck invoking a change in tone to something dark, doomy with a wave of proggy drone.

Punking it back up 'Bingo Nans' ends with a cacophony of bedlam! Scratchy riffs, infectious sound, raw vocals and playful lyrics. It might not be the work of lyrical genius but I think it fits the quirky, carefree mantra Will was trying to achieve perfectly!
