SINGLE REVIEW: The Pinpricks - Anyway

I'm a big fan of attitude-heavy, female-fronted bands, and new single 'Anyway' by Germany's The Pinpricks ticks all my boxes!

Brazen, brash, and passionate 'Anyway' radiates with raw, raucous energy. It's epic and outspoken with added endearing kitschy, sparkle. It's an ostentatious burst of girl power encased in a glitter-encrusted shell of crunchy, powerful riffs, fuzzy chords, and abrasive kick-ass drums with infectious, anthemic qualities.

Singer Ronja has a wonderfully gritty, yet magnificently feminine voice, her vocals blasting with an impactful rock stance and just the right balance of attitude and soulfulness.

Professional and well-produced but also retaining a grassroots, DIY, garage rock vibe The Pinpricks are here to make waves with their unique, ballsy, in-ya-face sound. With an album, EP, and a couple of singles under their belt they're already a force to be reckoned with in their native Germany, and with the right media attention world domination is sure to be next.

If you like your music pretentious and anthemic with a sizable sprinkling of sparkle then 'Anyway' is the song for you!

Amy

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (Iā€™m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜œ) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
