SINGLE REVIEW: Teeniest - Billie Eillish Won't Follow Me

New York duo Teeniest show their fun side on their tongue in cheek new single 'Billie Eillish Won't Follow Me'.

The track is a bit chaotic, a little disjointed and skittish. Erratically jumping from plodding indie to burst of misplaced sax and adolescent twinkles. 'Billie Eillish Won't Follow Me' makes very little sense musically or lyrically but I don't think it's meant to. It's a captivating presentation of bemusement.

The lyrics skip from hoping Billie Eillish thinks their song is dope or maybe just okay to questioning if the world is on the brink. It's as though Teeniest turned a brain dump of random thoughts into a song, a collage of thinking and questioning. Like a patchwork quilt where all the colours clash.

The vocals are arty with an air of cheeky complacency and interesting effects.

While somewhat muddled, 'Billie Eillish Won't Follow Me' is an easy, likeable listen that will certainly raise a smile.
