SINGLE REVIEW: Sin Of God - Black Waves
Inspired by the wounds of life, that the past years have bestowed on Sin of God from Viruses, Epidemics, war breaking out, world-wide pollution, lies and deception, has lead to the fabrication of Black Waves and the concept album it resides on Blood Bound. The intensity is never before experienced with double kick drilling its way, accompanied by evil subterranean tones, and vocals that will shake your entire being. Black Waves is described as “Tsunami of extreme”. As the listener I completely agree with the statement, completely blown away by the sheer reckoning force and I would personally describe it as a demonstration that instruments can become weapons of destruction wielded by brutal machines, we call musicians.
Surprisingly fast paces and complexity will appeal to new-school and old-school death metal fans.
The lyrics themselves paints a very vivid apocalypse of destruction left behind by man, then a monstrous waves comes to sweep everything away, think of Noah's Ark but way more sinister, this wave is acid that eats away at flesh and is blacker than any ocean we could ever identify on earth and leaves the ground completely barren devoid of life. Those who are caught in it are dragged to hell.
An overall WTF kinda track I could barely keep up with but impressed by the musicianship skills and production skills used in this.
