SINGLE REVIEW: Jaysun Silver - I Don't Regret A Single Thing I've Ever Done / Endless

Jaysun Silver isn’t here to be boxed into one sound—‘I Don’t Regret A Single Thing I’ve Ever Done’ and ‘Endless’ are worlds apart, yet both capture his knack for making any genre his own. One moment, he’s serving up buoyant, sun-soaked rockabilly-punk; the next, he’s dragging you through a thick, sludgy haze of rap-rock grit. Together, these two tracks showcase the sheer range of his creativity, proving there’s no single lane that can contain him.

‘I Don’t Regret A Single Thing I’ve Ever Done’ is pure joy on a platter—effervescent, bouncy, and packed with an infectious, feel-good energy. The punchy guitars and swinging rhythm section bring a rockabilly flair, but the DIY roughness gives it an unmistakable punk edge. It’s lighthearted and playful, yet never throwaway—there’s a real charm in its perfectly unpolished delivery, making every splashy drum hit and buzzing riff feel alive. It’s the kind of track that demands movement, radiating warmth and sunshine vibes from the first note to the last.

Then, ‘Endless’ flips the mood entirely. This is heavy, crashing, and steeped in gritty intensity, driven by a thick, rumbling bassline that sets the foundation for its doom-laced atmosphere. The guitars are textured and ominous, the drumming hits with hard, poignant weight, and Jaysun’s rap-rock vocals bring a semi-spoken, attitude-fuelled delivery that feels raw and commanding. It’s an entirely different beast from its predecessor, yet the conviction behind it is just as strong.

Hearing these two songs side by side is like picking from a genre lucky dip—you never know what Jaysun Silver will do next, but whatever it is, he fully commits. With this much versatility and creativity, No Excuses! is shaping up to be a must-listen. I can’t wait to spin the whole album!
