SINGLE REVIEW: Harker - Out the Window

Brighton 4 piece Harker seamlessly blends genres on their stunning new single 'Out the Window'.

Coming in fierce with raucous, frantic punk energy their sound changes and shifts as the song progresses. Combining a noise that is raw with big riffs and exhilarating impact with dreamy, psychedelic waves, the trudge of Nirvana-esque grunge and the uplifting jangle of indie.

There's retro vibes crossing the decade paired with a modern edge capturing a real taste of what the band can do. Heartfelt emotion and passion dripping at every opportunity.

'Out the Window' is creative and dynamic. Unexpected genre couplings create a sound that is diverse and refreshing. Harker are an exciting find; fuzzy, distorted but dreamlike and lo-fi. A 90's lover's dream, a band who could have easily fit as label mates to the likes of Therapy? but are also inspired and relevant in 2023.

Amy

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (Iā€™m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜œ) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
