SINGLE REVIEW: A.M. Pleasure Assassins - Persona

Inspired by a movie of the same name (that I've never heard of!), 'Persona' is a unique fusion of shoegaze, grunge, and noise rock. It marries hazy guitar distortion with erratic tendencies, resulting in an agitated and experimental overdriven status. This chaos is complemented by a rumbling, churning bassline with a dirty, sludgy drone. A subtle, ghost-like offbeat drum track lurks in the background, adding to the complexity. The vocals are gravelly, marked by an uneven tone and an expressive quality.

'Persona' offers a conceptual experience, juxtaposing a myriad of disjointed noise to craft an interesting and insatiably unpredictable listening journey.

Amy

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (I’m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours 🤪😜) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
