SINGLE REVIEW: 3A7 - Go Away

‘Go Away’ is raw, infectious, and bursting with an energy that shifts and swells rather than just hammering away at full blast. 3A7 take the best bits of punk’s urgency, indie’s DIY charm, and grunge’s thick, reverberating bite, blending them into something that feels completely their own. The track kicks off with sharp, driving guitars before pulling back just enough to let the rhythm breathe. Those shifts in pace give it a dynamic, almost restless quality, making every moment hit harder when it lands.

The interplay between the instruments is a real highlight. The guitars don’t just churn out power chords; they weave in and out, dipping into lo-fi territory before surging back with a rough-edged clarity. The drums are tight and responsive, powering through the high-energy sections but knowing when to rein things in. There is even a slight bounce to the rhythm, almost ska-like at times, which adds a unique lift to the song, keeping it from falling into predictable grunge nostalgia. The vocals, delivered with a raw, unpolished intensity, sit right at the heart of it all. Emotionally charged but never overbearing, they ride the shifts in tempo without ever losing their grip on the melody.

There is a real sense of spontaneity to ‘Go Away’, not in a careless way but in the way that great rock songs feel like they have been captured in their purest form without overthinking or watering things down. It is loud, punchy, and ridiculously catchy, but it also has moments of space and contrast that give it weight. 3A7 aren’t just recycling old sounds. They are twisting them into something fresh, something that feels alive. If this is just the beginning, they are onto something seriously good.
