Northern Krig was formed in 2021 at Oslo, Norway by Morfran (Vocals), Erik Lund (Guitars), Mikkel Stein (Bass) and Jonar Gunnarson (Drums), after the end of the guys previous band "Skyrsdag". The band released their debut demo EP «Myrk Blóðfórn» in 2022.

At the turn of the millenium, Skyrsdag - known underground icons of Norway‘s Black Metal scene - disappeared without so much as a word. Northern Krig now tear open the aching wound left in

the hearts of this era‘s followers in the most brutal and intense way possible:

Morfran has returned, as if he had never left at all.

In 2021, Skyrsdag‘s founding members Morfran and Erik Lund fathered Northern Krig and released their first demo Myrk Blódforn. They followed up with their debut studio album,

Concept of a Suicidal Journey

on April 27th of this year.

The album tells Juna‘s story. It recounts her life, a life punctuated with phases of violence, abuse,

self-harm and drugs. Escaping into a misanthropic world of make-believe, she relentlessly works

towards her suicide.

Northern Krig’s album keeps the style of the classic Black Metal of the mid-1990s and, enhanced

with noise and ultrasonic effects, transmits an uncompromising

sound that allows listeners to fully immerse themselves in a tale of self-destruction.

The LP is limited to 300 copies, 50 of which will be included in a special Collector‘s Edition bundle

featuring an original Polaroid photo taken at Northern Krig‘s last tour, alongside other collectibles.
