Nasalrod Release Star-Studded Video Featuring Members of Ministry, Dead Kennedys, Fear, Poison Idea, Dead Moon, Quasi, Mudhoney and More Before Embarking On Tour
Nasalrod, who is about to embark on and East Coast and West Coast tours, are releasing the star-studded new James Rexroad directed video for “The Maker” from last years’ split album with Victims Family on Nadine Records/Alternative Tentacles Records (see Decibel premiere)…
Watch/Post Nasalrod "The Maker" Video
Al Jourgensen (Ministry), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), Lee Ving (Fear), Jerry A (Poison Idea), Toody Cole (Dead Moon), Janet Weiss (Quasi), Steve Turner (Mudhoney), Matt Pike (High on Fire, Sleep), Sean Croghan (The Mistons; Crackerback), all of YOB, Help, Gaytheist, and Greg from Danava all make cameo appearances in the video.
Nasalrod is a collaborative vision. The intensity of drummer Spit Stix (a founding member of the seminal L.A. punk band FEAR) is a major driving force behind this ferocious art-punk quartet. Lead singer Chairman’s sneering, kooky yet soulful vocals soar over a sound that is simultaneously convulsive, melodic and violent. Spit Stix, guitarist Mustin Douch, and bassist Mandy Morgan provide a sonic backdrop that is the demented and freakish heart of the band. This latest batch of songs sees them adding instances of 3-part vocal harmony to their audio stockpile. Armed with their notoriously frantic live show, Nasalrod has shared stages with acts such as Mudhoney, Melt-Banana, Mike Watt, D.O.A., and Big Business.
