LORI Goes ‘Deeper’ Into the Dance Space With Contagious, New Hyper-Pop Single

Sheffield alt-pop solo-artist Lori heads Deeper into the dance arena with the release of her brand new hyper-pop single. Its electronic sound brings with it bigger beats and a clear nod to 90’s inspired dance.

The long-awaited new music is a sign that Lori is moving in new territory and a new direction since her debut EP I’m Still Here. Its title track is a survivor anthem, speaking to those fighting through turbulent times, while single Release Me made electro-pop shaped waves from Radio X to KALX (USA).

Contrastingly the new music goes way beyond a re-frame. It's an arrival – upbeat and fierce, the only familiarity, Lori’s ability to eloquently deliver.  Think solid programming, haunting vocal melodies and as ever, the big hooks.

Lori shared the plans for new music on her blog, announcing “since starting DJing I’ve taken a real interest in production and making music for myself, rather than what I think the industry wants. My new music is the type of music I love to listen, dance and sing along to.

Influenced by artists including Charlie XCX, Kim Petras and Shygirl the new single will be celebrated at a sold-out release party show held at a secret Sheffield location on Saturday 8th February.  However, the fans and the curious need not miss out, as Lori's set will be live streamed on her Tiktok Channel @loriofficialuk from 11.10pm GMT.

"A new solo adventure and it's sounding fantastic" John Kennedy, Radio X
