“Lest We Forget Has Been Forgotten”: A Powerful Anthem Unveiling Hard Truths by The Cage In Your Head!

In a riveting musical commentary on the harsh realities of contemporary society, The Cage In Your Head releases their latest single, “Lest We Forget Has Been Forgotten.” The track, with its compelling lyrics and dynamic composition, confronts the apathy towards distant conflicts and challenges listeners to question their values.

In “Lest We Forget Has Been Forgotten,” the artist boldly addresses the indifference to global turmoil, emphasizing the stark contrast between societal concerns and personal pursuits. The lyrics poignantly explore the impact of war on individual lives, urging listeners to reevaluate their priorities.

The song captures the essence of societal disillusionment, highlighting the disconnect between the pursuit of materialism and the harsh realities of conflict. “No one seems to care, no one f***ing cares,” echoes the sentiment of a society blinded by consumerism while war looms on distant shores.

With a powerful chorus declaring “We’re going to war,” the artist draws attention to the urgent need for collective reflection. The lyrics delve into the consequences of political misjudgments, portraying a world where the sacrifices of the young are made in an “old man’s war.”

“War Echoes” is not merely a musical composition; it is a poignant call to action. It challenges listeners to question the information they consume and the narratives shaping their perspectives. The chorus’s repetition serves as a stark reminder that the harsh realities of war are not confined to distant lands but may soon knock on our own doors.

As the song unfolds, themes of forgotten history (“Lest we forget has been forgotten”) and the responsibility of choosing leaders (“Our choice of leaders misbegotten”) weave through the lyrics, painting a vivid picture of a society at a crossroads.

In a world saturated with distractions “Lest We Forget Has Been Forgotten.” stands as a beacon of awareness, imploring listeners to break free from the confines of misinformation and confront uncomfortable truths. With its raw emotion and unapologetic lyrics, The Cage In Your Head challenges us all to question what we hold dear and consider the cost of our collective choices.

Biography

Emerging from the depths of Winnipeg's frigid winters, The Cage in your Head is the chilling embodiment of extreme dark metal, forged by the tormented artist Darren Daneliuk. Born out of the anguish and suffering of the pandemic, this musical entity, together with producer and artist David Asher, unleashed their haunting debut, "A Light to Summon the Dark," in March 2021. The subsequent release, "Brother of Damien," in December 2021, proved equally ferocious, showcasing the unyielding nature of their craft.

Now, with the latest concept album, 'Me, Myself & Hyde,' The Cage in your Head unveils their most dynamic and evolved work to date. Delving into the realm of two conflicting personalities locked in a tumultuous struggle, the album delves into the chilling consequences of sharing a mind plagued by voices urging self-destruction. With the addition of new member Mike Hinz, an exceptional guitarist and soloist who contributed to half of the album's guitar solos, the band's sonic arsenal expands further.

Notably, the album also features a guest appearance by Joshuah Jones from 'The Obsidian Resurrection,' who lends his mastery of the bass and exceptional songwriting skills to the bone-chilling track, "A Harrowing Descent Into Madness." The final track, 'Only One of Us Walks Away,' is a testament to the contributions of Jasen Bellamy, providing a fitting conclusion to the album's atmospheric journey.

Prepare to be consumed by the first single, "A Nightmare You Couldn't Even Imagine," a high-octane burst of energy that thrusts listeners into a world spiraling out of control. As humanity continues its downward spiral, The Cage in your Head remains steadfast in documenting the decay through the relentless brutality of its sonic frequencies.

Join The Cage in your Head as they explore the depths of darkness and illuminate the human condition like never before, weaving a tapestry of chilling melodies and unrelenting heaviness that will leave an indelible mark on your soul.
