Leeds rockers Gloria to release new single "‘Runaway’ on June 9th

BIO:

We are GLORIA, a 4 piece Rock band currently working out of Leeds UK. Our music is described as anthemic Rock that takes on multiple forms. From hard-hitting and energetic to  psychedelic and soulful, soothing and emotive, we aim to deliver tunes that have the power to relate to and capture the hearts of a wide variety of music lovers.

Taking Inspiration from greats such as David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Queen and Pink Floyd (amongst many others), our sound naturally contains elements of that timeless music, but presented in a way that’s refreshing for a contemporary audience.

The content of our music and the themes we write about are not only very personal to our own lives but also is massively influenced by youth culture in Britain and how it’s shaped us as people and as a society. Many of the topics we touch on are universal and therefore are accessible to a wide range of people.

We believe that all of these elements working in connection is what allows the listener to really feel something when experiencing the music and as artists that is always our primary intention.

We’ve spent the last 6 months writing a host of new material which we feel far surpasses anything we’ve created previously and have recently been testing them out at shows in Manchester (Academy 3), Leeds (The Lending Room) and London (The Courtyard Theatre), to amazing receptions.

The plan now is to get the music in front of as many people as possible by gigging, releasing and showing people what we’re about so keep your eyes peeled for us and we assure you won’t be disappointed.

About ‘Runaway’

Latest single, ‘Runaway’ is an alt rock/ pop song about a story of a man and a woman who fall into a relationship fated to fail. The song has a confident structure and an arrangement that becomes gradually more grand and intense as the song progresses. For the most part the song is quite guitar focussed with rich vocal harmonies elevating a catchy hook that we hope will be in your ears for a while. The driving narrative and optimistic tone of the ending make it a great listen  if you’re making a journey that might take you somewhere you haven’t been before. Happy listening!
