Larusta & The Dead Dogs releases debt album ‘The Life You Save May Be Your Own’

Larusta, the enigmatic voice behind London’s latest dark alternative sensation Larusta & The Dead Dogs, is set to release his much-anticipated debut album, The Life You Save May Be Your Own, on November 15, 2024. With a unique blend of alternative rock and raw, reflective storytelling, the album takes listeners through what Larusta calls a “Dark Lyrical Alternative” experience. Before its digital release, fans will have the chance to witness Larusta & The Dead Dogs live for an exclusive album launch event at The Art Stalker in Berlin on November 14th.

Born in a small, rural town in southern Germany, he spent years moving between places and projects, eventually finding his true musical home in London. From his early years of constant relocation and evolving musical projects, the decisive move to London became a powerful turning point in his career. In this city, he found his musical home, a captivated audience, and the courage to finally release his debut album. This project is his reflection on personal hardship, resilience, and his artistic rebirth.

"As it is my debut album, it is certainly a special one for me", Larusta shares. "Thematically, each song can be seen as a representation of one or two of the five stages of grief. This wasn’t my intention when I started out writing these songs, but this happened naturally, which makes sense to me, in retrospect."

The album, created in a time of solitude during the first lockdown, is deeply personal yet hauntingly universal. Through striking instrumentals, Larusta draws his audience into evocative scenes and introspective narratives. Each song evolved from a “persistent text idea, image, or statement” that captured a specific personal moment, growing into powerful songs that echo the human condition.

The song “Within The Valley Green”, released on November 8th, offers a first taste of the album’s emotional scope and storytelling depth. Fans can also look forward to the official music video, premiering on the album’s release day, promising a visual complement to Larusta’s unique soundscape.

For Larusta & The Dead Dogs, this album is not just a collection of songs, but an exploration of life’s rawest emotions, channeled into visceral and compelling music. As he steps onto the Berlin stage on November 14th, Larusta will bring to life these stories and songs for the first time, introducing his audience to the journey that ultimately became The Life You Save May Be Your Own.
