Today, Click Roll Boom caught up with Dutch Indie Punks LONE WOLF who have just released their third studio album 'HAZE WAVE'
CLICK ROLL BOOM: Who are LONE WOLF? How did you form? What makes you tick? What inspires you?
LONE WOLF: We’re LONE WOLF, a four-piece punk rock band from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. We’ve been playing since 2016 and just released our third album named ‘HAZE WAVE’. We love hazy IPA’s, guitars, dinosaurs, pizza and Feyenoord.
CRB: What’s the origin behind the band name?
LW: It’s inspired by John de Wolf. A hero and cult player of our hometown football (soccer) club Feyenoord. Just look him up in his days as a Feyenoord-player, you gotta love this guy.
CRB: Describe your sound in 5 words?
LW: Catchy, jangly, fun, hazy & dark
CRB: Who would you cite as your biggest influences?
LW: Dead To Me, The Strokes & Marked Men
CRB: Where does your inspiration come from when writing songs?
LW: Mostly the day to day struggle combined with melodies that makes you want to have fun.
CRB: What's been your biggest show to date? and your favourite?
LW: Probably not our biggest but definitely in our top three is FEST in Gainesville, Florida. It’s also our favorite. We’re coming back this year for the fourth time.
CRB: What’s the strangest thing a fan has ever asked you?
LW: Instead of the strangest, we'd like to share the sweetest thing. When we played in Ottawa, Canada last May a girl left a note in front of Merel saying: You are the fucking happiest chick i've seen all night Keep making them listen . How cool is that?
CRB: Do you have any guilty musical pleasures?
LW: Cock van der Palm, Taylor Swift (is it really?) & Pump Up The Jam by Technotronic
CRB: Who would be on your dream festival line-up?
LW: FEST comes pretty close every year. They just need to add Marked Men for this one.
CRB: What are you working on at the moment? What does the future hold for the band?
LW: We’re promoting our new album on the road. We’re playing shows in Europe before the summer and will go back to the US in October.
