GRETE is back with something ‘DIFFERENT’ - out February 21st
Singer-songwriter Grete makes a bold statement with her new single ‘Different’. Speckled with glitzy details and giving a familiar nod to untraditional harmony, this is Grete’s most quintessential offering to date. Influenced by artists like Tove Lo, MARO and The Weeknd, ‘Different’ consists of layers like distorted and glitching effects, counteracted by a sultry guitar part, which soars over a backdrop of glassy percussion, held down by a subdued but powerful bass line. The lyrics of ‘Different’ explore the possibility of leaving someone you love because they feel unfamiliar and distant.
Grete was born and raised in a little Eastern-European country called Lithuania and started singing when she was only 3 years old. She began her young artist and performer career in small ensembles and bands and was quickly spotted and drawn to the biggest stages in the country, such as tv competitions, musical theatre, international concerts and contests, and even the finals of The Voice of Lithuania. Grete chose to leave Lithuania and start fresh in the UK. She has graduated pop music vocals in RNCM in 2024. After the release of her first EP ‘Grey’ the artist is back with a completely different genre.
