Glasgow’s ESCAPE GOATS to release new single 'Best Laid Plans' on Feb 21st

SOCIALS

"ESCAPE GOATS are from the city of Glasgow, just north of London... The band formed at the start of 2024, a three-piece Alternative/punk band (or 'Foundation Maths Rock' if you prefer) made up of John McLinden (Guitar/Vocals - formerly in MEMES) Adam Parker (Drums/Vocals - formerly in Make Sparks) and Andrew Shepherd (Bass - Co-owner of Venice of the North Recording Studio in Glasgow). The band have recently been featured on BBC IntroducingFresh on the Net's 'Fresh Favs', and The Unsigned Guide's 'Monthly Spotlight'.

New Single 'Best Laid Plans' is the bands 6th studio release, both an indie-rock ditty, and an alternative punk anthem! From guitarist John Mclinden's clamouring vocals during the verses, to drummer Adam Parker's melodic chorus vocals, this song (produced by bass player Andrew Shepherd) is guaranteed to hold your attention until the final chord.

"Best Laid Plans" references anyone who's ever had their carefully mapped-out life come crashing down in the most chaotic of ways. Sometimes you just have to embrace the possibility of failure and make plans anyway. As Robert Burns once said, "the best laid schemes o' mice an' men gang aft a-gley", we agree, Rab!

Recorded at Venice of the North Studio, Mastered at Esko Mastering in Finland by Robin Sutherland.
