Greek heavy rock titans 1000mods have made an earth-shattering return with their long-awaited fifth studio album, *Cheat Death*, released on November 8th, 2024, via Ouga Booga and the Mighty Oug Recordings worldwide and Ripple Music in the US. Four years after their critically acclaimed *Youth of Dissent* and countless incendiary performances around the world, 1000mods have returned with what stands as their heaviest, most hard-hitting record to date.
*Cheat Death* is a sonic juggernaut featuring ten explosive tracks that seamlessly merge pulverising metal riffs, raw punk energy, and bold alt-rock experimentation. Produced by Matt Bayles, who previously collaborated with the band on *Youth of Dissent* and is known for his work with Pearl Jam and Mastodon, *Cheat Death* was recorded at Athens’ renowned Sierra Studios and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege Studios in Portland, Oregon. The album’s artwork, designed by Eva Mourtzis, offers a distinct visual aesthetic that complements the album’s themes of life, death, and defiance.
