Frog Release 'Unplugged and Unhinged' Film via Patreon Ahead of Northeast Tour

Cult New York group Frog have released their first live performance film, “Unplugged and Unhinged.” This film by Jarod Walker was released on March 8th via the band’s new Patreon where they will be premiering audio and video recordings of their shows going forward. A free seven-day trial is available - https://www.patreon.com/heyitsfrog

Fan favorites "Don't Tell Me Where You're Going" and "RIP to the Empire State Flea Market" have been uploaded to YouTube as a preview - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e210rdvaHDo

The band’s profile has continued to grow with the success of their ‘GROG’ album (Audio Antihero / Tapewormies) which was praised by Pitchfork, Stereogum, Post-Trash, The Alternative, and Bandcamp Daily, in addition to airplay from KEXP, KCRW, WKDU, and the BBC.

Frog will be recording a slew of new shows this month, including their first-ever Pennsylvania date; a performance in New York’s legendary Knitting Factory; and their first Massachusetts show since 2019. After back-to-back advance sellouts in Manhattan and Brooklyn, these March events will offer some their very first opportunity to see the increasingly popular trio.

Frog Tour Dates:
March 14th - Johnny Brenda's in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with Nyxy Nyx and The Goodbye Party.
March 15th - Knitting Factory in NYC, New York with Bellows and Sister.
March 16th - Warehouse Xi in Somerville, Massachusetts with Winkler.

Artist Quote on the “Unplugged and Unhinged” film and Patreon launch:

“We'll be uploading a recording of every show we play to Patreon. These will be exclusive for Patreon members for some period of time before we release them anywhere else. If we're able to record video of the shows, we'll also upload that here.

Jarod came to this show and captured us playing an unplugged acoustic set. We never practiced in this iteration, and a bunch of the songs we had never played before with each other, so it was an experiment! We had fun. Luckily Jarod cut most of the parts where I’m embarrassing myself, although we can release them if anyone is craving cringe content. Watching and listening to this show convinced me that I needed to shut up more–but then at the next show, everyone said they missed my endless diatribes. You don’t know what you got ’till it’s gone.” – Daniel Bateman (Frog)
