Filter Heads To Europe As 30-year Anniversary Tour Rolls On

FILTER HEADS TO EUROPE AS 30-YEAR ANNIVERSARY TOUR ROLLS ON.

Hard rockers to hit U.K. and mainland Europe for first time in 8 years

Alternative Industrial rockers Filter have announced a series of headline dates across mainland Europe and the U.K. celebrating the release of new music and the band’s formation 30 years ago. It is Filter’s first tour in the region in 8 years.

It’s been way too long since Filter has been back to Europe,” said Filter’s Richard Patrick. “Some of my greatest touring memories have been performing in the U.K. and across Europe. I’m so proud of our new record, I cannot wait to share with everyone over there."

The European tour, starting in March 2025, follows a 6-month-long trek that crisscrossed the United States and Canada, and will hit such countries as The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, The Czech Republic, Austria, Poland and the UK.

As a preview to what's in store, Filter present California Screamin' on June 17 2023 - available worldwide - this live-stream full concert will be performed LIVE on location in Los Angeles. The performance will include special guests, classic songs Filter has not performed in over 25 years and the debut of brand-new material from the forthcoming album.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the band’s birth. In 1993, founder and lead vocalist Patrick placed an ad in Scene Magazine in Cleveland, OH, shortly after leaving Nine Inch Nails as their touring guitarist, looking to form a band that would eventually evolve into Filter.

The celebration of Filter’s anniversary began in late 2022 when Patrick was invited to join Nine Inch Nails for a special fan day Q&A at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The following night NIN mastermind Trent Reznor had Patrick and other former and current NIN band members join him for a special performance at the Blossom Center in Cleveland, OH, where the band was originally formed. The expanded NIN performed such staples as "Eraser", "Wish", "Sin", "Gave Up", "Head Like a Hole", and a cover of Filter’s 1994 monster hit, "Hey Man Nice Shot."

Filter followed that performance with the release of their first new single in over two years – “For the Beaten” followed by “Face Down” in May of this year. These hard hitting and well received singles are from the much-anticipated new full-length album that is set to come out later this summer on Golden Robot Records.

The live energy of Filter cannot be denied, 2023 has seen the band performing at numerous festivals and headlining shows, with a late summer tour with Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper and Ministry called Freaks on Parade.
