Born in 2012, yet re-formed in 2016, ESCAPE FROM WONDERLAND released their critically acclaimed, self-titled debut EP in 2019, followed by numerous singles, captivating music videos and shows with scene heavy weights such as Attila, Emil Bulls, Veil Of May amongst others. Produced with Nils Lesser of Vaultroom Productions, 'Pieces' sees the band fuse early 2000’s metalcore with modern electronic sounds, vocals ranging from pop punk-ish to deathcore-esque enrich their songs with a sense of grandeur. Both old and new school metalcore fans, better get ready to ESCAPE FROM WONDERLAND!
"Finally, the time has come! Today our debut album, titled “Pieces”, is released worldwide," lead guitarist / clean vocalist Lars states. "The first riffs were already written in 2019. In the meantime, a pandemic has raged through the world and been forgotten again. Now, it feels a bit surreal to think about what has changed since then and how much blood, sweat and tears went into the making of this album. And of course how different some of the songs were, sometimes with a few years between the individual development processes. But we are infinitely proud of everything and couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
Many of the songs deal with topics of life and the meaning of what it means to be alive. And in a beautiful way, this record reflects exactly this claim, to participate in life, by making us immortal as artists in musical history.
For us, this production was a huge step forward and we have grown with this project. But it's also clear that this is just the beginning of something, we're just beginning to understand.
