Erode The Dream To Release New EP "Neon Nightmares" on January 7th 2025

Charleston, SC – Erode The Dream is set to release their highly anticipated five-song EP, Neon Nightmares, a bold and genre-defying collection that showcases the band's ever-evolving sound. The EP was recorded at Big Animal Studios (Shinedown) in Charleston, SC, and was co-produced, engineered, and mixed by Eric Rickert, with mastering by the renowned Michael White (Whitney Houston, Talking Heads) in California.

The new EP offers a fresh twist on the band's signature style, blending traditional guitar, drums, and bass with unconventional instruments like xylophone, baby grand piano, synthesizers, rainstorms, sleigh bells, marching band toms, and various percussion elements. These additions bring a unique depth to the band's sonic landscape, resulting in a dynamic and immersive listening experience.

Two of the EP’s tracks, Becoming Ghosts and Vagabundo, feature the haunting backing vocals of Bekah Rice from Columbia, SC’s Husbands, further enriching the EP’s vocal harmonies. The song "Becoming Ghosts" also includes intro vocals by guitarist Jon Stout's 10 year old son Ben Stout.

Ahead of the EP’s physical release on January 7th 2025, Erode The Dream has already dropped three singles, Salt (October 1, 2024), Becoming Ghosts (November 4, 2024) and Vagabundo (December 10, 2024) , available now on all major streaming platforms, with lyric videos on YouTube for fans to enjoy.

To celebrate the release of the album, Erode The Dream will host an EP release show at LO-Fi Brewing in Charleston, SC on January 11, 2025. The band will be joined by Acid Hawk and Infinitefreefall for an unforgettable night of live music.

Neon Nightmares will be self-released on vinyl in two stunning colorways: a standard Neon Pink edition and a limited edition Clear vinyl, both of which will be available for purchase online and at shows. For fans who still appreciate the classic format, the band will also release a CD version, providing a more affordable option for those who prefer to listen on physical media.

The EP’s cover art was created by Charleston, SC artist Fletcher Williams III, with the back cover artwork designed by Erode The Dream’s lead singer Mauricio Sanchez under his artistic alias Masare.

Neon Nightmares will be available for purchase and streaming on January 7th, 2025, and fans are encouraged to follow the band on social media for updates and exclusive content.

Erode The Dream is a band forged from years of experience in the rock, heavy metal, and hardcore scenes of Charleston, SC. The members are still headbangers at heart, still driven by that raw, rebellious energy, but they’ve survived enough trends to know exactly the sound they want to create — a blend of power, emotion, and authenticity.

Formed in late 2023 in Charleston, SC, Erode The Dream came together when guitarist Ryan Martin (lead guitar), Jon Stout (rhythm guitar), Robbie Weise (bass), and Steven Wilson (drums) joined forces to explore new musical territory. Their sound emerged with a grittier, more raw edge than their previous projects, combining punk-driven rhythms with atmospheric layers of noise, creating a balance between unrelenting energy and haunting textures.

Vocalist Mauricio Sanchez, also known by his artistic moniker Masãre, completes the lineup. Originally from Colombia, Mauricio is an architect and visual artist who is known for painting fragmented, distorted human faces in his murals. His vocal delivery draws from his deep roots in old-school metal, blending powerful wails in both English and Spanish to add emotional depth and intensity to the band’s sonic landscape.

Together, Erode The Dream is carving out a distinct identity, blending grunge, punk, and atmospheric elements into a sound that feels both timeless and forward-thinking.

In 2024 they have released a debut single "The Waiting" and finished out the year releasing singles & lyric videos for singles "Salt", "Becoming Ghosts" & "Vagabundo" which are off their upcoming EP Neon Nightmares (Out January 7th 2025)
