EP REVIEW: FOXHAUNT - Division Culture
FOXHAUNT formed in 2018 and after a couple of line up changes became the band as it is today. Their musical style draws influence from bands such as Anberlin, Linkin Park, and Don Broco. They have shared stages across the UK with the likes of Normandie, Emarosa and Lonely The Brave.
Latest EP "Division Culture" follows 2022's acclaimed "Mindset" EP.
"Division Culture" is soaring, exhilarating with a confident, swooping full sound that borrows elements from the raw energy of alt rock and the melodic grandeur of metalcore. Indulgent riffs, thundering drum and magnificent, electrifying vocals.
The EP is a battle of passion, a pouring of pain. Angst heavy themes of feeling directionless, haunted by yourself, constantly fighting inner thoughts and demons. Questioning who you are, ripping open old wounds and revelling in the torment and turmoil. Going through the motions, isolation and chasing love from anywhere. The yearning for something to make you feel complete.
Stunning EP ender 'Room to Grow' sheds a glow of positivity, a note to people who've been lost from our lives expressing the idea that while there's still a way to grow things have moved forward from when they were part of life and we're shaping into a better person that the version they knew.
A gripping, catchy listen "Division Culture" is epic with stunning professionalism. Delivered with sincerity and integrity. It's raw, brutal and completely entrancing.
