Electric Six will play two extensive UK tours in 2024, with a set of fifteen June and July dates that kick-off with a warm-up show in Cambridge just announced alongside their traditional pre-Xmas trek around the UK in November and December. The summer tour schedule can be seen above, with the winter itinerary detailed below.
Having formed in Detroit in 1996 and still helmed by charismatic frontman Dick Valentine, Electric Six are renowned for combining elements of garage rock, new wave, punk, disco and metal alongside large dollops of comedy into their music. The group first achieved widespread recognition two decades ago with the smash hit singles ‘Danger! High Voltage’ and ‘Gay Bar’ and have gone on to release a new studio album nearly every year since, each promoted with extensive tours that have resulted in a large and dedicated following.
Having issued their current studio album, ‘Turquoise’, in September 2023, songs from it were included in the live set for a UK tour in the late autumn that celebrated the 20th Anniversary of their chartbusting debut album, ‘Fire’.
A video of an intimate acoustic version of the song ‘Units Of Time’ from ‘Turquoise’ has just been made available. Performed solo by Valentine, it can be seen HERE .
