Doomscroll is a passage about inner conflict caused by reliance on technology. “I spend my days in the Doomscroll, I live your life inside my bed” I can’t help but question if my insecurities & ongoing battles with depression stem from the constant consumption of social media. The song touches on themes of isolation & loneliness as well as self love & loathing. Don’t get me wrong I know & see the beautiful side of technology/social media but this song isn’t about that. It’s about the darker side of technology/social media. The side that makes me wanna scream.
The collaboration on this track with BÖHMEN, SUGARSTONE & BEAM NOIR is so important. Especially in a city like Manchester where people are versed in specific sound/genre. We need to find the alternative side of Manchester & bloody everywhere tbh. To do that we need to work together & push through the masses of nostalgia. We need to be heard. We need to make it happen. Together.

DR DR - BIO
Born in the isolated depths of the COVID-19 pandemic against a shared backdrop of frustration, depression and psychological imprisonment, DR DR tackle the universal experiences of mental and emotional turmoil with a volcanic live show that is littered with a cacophony of aggression, skin tattoos and the wild thrashings of the maniac within. If it can be climbed on, it will be climbed on.
Their music brings a mixture of heavy, dissonant riffs and dark vocal imagery, borne of a desire to therapize both themselves and the audience, seeking catharsis for the inner struggles of humanity like addiction, depression, anger and hopelessness through the most universal language in the world: Music. DR DR ceaselessly endeavour to take the frantic mess of emotions that we all carry inside us and truly unleash it. Whether at a live show or just listening at home, they implore you to do the same.
