Champions Of Sorrow Unleash Epic Viking Metal Anthem – ‘Ragnar’ Out Now!
Finland’s newest epic melodic death metal act, Champions of Sorrow, has released their latest song, Ragnar, to the public. The track is an ode to Scandinavian metal heritage and DNA.
"I wanted to compose a really catchy song that embodies Viking metal in every way" ,says Ville Jokilehto, the band's founder.
The song marks a pivotal point in the band's ever-evolving musical journey. Champions of Sorrow refuse to be confined to a single sound or musical frontier, instead choosing to explore new territories within the metal genre.

Champions of Sorrow was founded in 2024 by Ville Jokilehto as his solo project. The band explores traditional melodic death metal and its frontiers, blending styles and sounds across the genre. Champions of Sorrow has worked closely with Saku Moilanen, who has produced many Finnish metal bands, such as Wolfheart and Bloodred Hourglass. The band has released an EP, and a new EP and an album are in the works for 2025 and 2026.
