Beirut-Based Grunge Trio Bliss Sparks Revival in Local Music Scene
Beirut’s underground music scene is experiencing a resurgence, and at the heart of this movement is Bliss, a grunge trio formed by three best friends who met at the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 2021. What started as late-night jam sessions soon turned into something bigger, and by 2023, the band was writing and recording original material.
Since then, Bliss has grown into a key player in Lebanon’s alternative scene, performing at events such as Oakenfest, Fête de la Musique, and Captain’s Cabin. More than just a band, they have become a driving force in reviving Beirut’s music culture, inspiring young musicians and supporting emerging artists along the way.
Now, with a MENA tour planned for this summer, Bliss is continuing to push forward, proving that grunge has found a new home in the region.
