Mexico City-based experimental collective Amor Muere, consisting of Mabe Fratti, Gibrana Cervantes, Concepción Huerta, and Camille Mandoki, announce their their highly anticipated debut album, A time to love, a time to die, due out November 3rd via new London-based independent record label Scrawl World Ltd aka Scrawl (fka SA Recordings) with new single ‘Love Dies’, out today.

Amor Muere represents a unique collaboration between four established artists, each with their own distinguished artistic endeavours. Mabe Fratti, a skilled avant-garde cellist, masterfully weaves together contemporary art pop and avant-garde influences, seamlessly blending improvisation, organisation, and melody in her music. Camille Mandoki's compositions defy categorisation, ranging from stumbling, decaying fairground music to menacing percussive flurries. Her vocals transcend conventional boundaries, bending and shaping sound into hauntingly beautiful and unconventional forms.  Concepción Huerta expertly explores everyday sonic landscapes, blending field recordings, objects, and instruments using magnetic tape manipulation and synthesisers. Her artistry crafts immersive atmospheres, seamlessly merging ambient and noise elements while bridging analog and digital sound manipulation. Gibrana Cervantes, a Mexican musician, stands out as a violinist, composer, and improviser, combining classical and metal influences into a truly unique and innovative musical style.

An experimental supergroup, Amor Muere combines their individual talents and core instruments—vocals, violin, cello, synths, and tape manipulation—to create a debut album that pushes the boundaries of sonic exploration.

Their new single ‘Love Dies’ is the first song the quartet wrote together, taking centre stage as the defining piece of their upcoming album. This track perfectly encapsulates the core sound that has emerged after numerous collaborative improvisation sessions among the group members.

The debut album of Amor Muere is the first project to be released on brand new independent record label Scrawl World Ltd aka Scrawl. Scrawl is a London-based independent record label and music platform for unruly music, launched by musician and label founder Harriet Pittard. Having previously run the successful experimental London label SA Recordings, (Nyokabi Kariũki, Nok Cultural Ensemble, Yair Elazar Glotman, London Contemporary Orchestra, Tara Clerkin Trio, Damel Elysium, Lea Bertucci) Pittard is launching Scrawl independently whilst continuing to work with selected artists from the former roster including NOK Cultural Ensemble, Lea Bertucci, Nyokabi Kariũki, Mabe Fratti and Damsel Elysium.

Unbound by genre, Scrawl is focused on experimental, adventurous and expansive music projects. Scrawl will release records, produce bespoke merchandise, curate live events and explore collaborative music tech opportunities. Upcoming releases include records from Mexico-based experimentalists Amor Muere, Manchester-based cellist Lili Holland Fricke and a new trio ‘Siblings of the Earth’ featuring Damsel Elysium, Alistair Welsh and Amirah De Bourg.
