Ahead of their new album in 2025 iconic indie band Unbelievable Truth release rarities album to streaming for the first time.

With a new album completed and set for release in 2025, classic Oxford, UK three-piece Unbelievable Truth have released their long out-of-print compilation album Misc. Music to streaming services for the first time. Recorded between the release of their seminal 1998 album Almost Here, and the follow up sorrythankyou (2000), Misc. Music came out on CD shortly after the band broke up. It showcases their prolific talent - eighteen tracks, some formerly b-sides, but collectively strong enough to stand as a headline album in its own right.

To promote the album, the song Roadside #2 is being released to radio, with a new video on the band’s YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/IppBCfjN0tQ

Written in 1995 as a companion piece to one of the very first songs the band ever wrote (titled, naturally, Roadside), it was finally completed during the recording for sorrythankyou, but lost out to the wealth of strong material the band had at the time, becoming a b-side to the Agony single from that album. Almost 30 years later, Roadside #2 - like so much of the band’s output - still sounds remarkably fresh. A gentle acoustic reverie underpinned by warm synth bass, it showcases Andy’s beautiful voice and evocative lyric writing, rising to an understated crescendo of 3 part harmonies, encapsulating Unbelievable Truth’s trademark poignant beauty.

Formed in Oxford in the mid-1990s by Andy Yorke, Jason Moulster and Nigel Powell, Unbelievable Truth became a influential presence in the UK indie music scene. Their unique blend of introspective lyrics, melodic sensibilities, and memorable hooks earned them critical acclaim and a loyal following, at home and internationally. With their albums Almost Here and sorrythankyou, Unbelievable Truth left an indelible mark on the indie music landscape, inspiring countless artists and captivating audiences with their live performances.
