ARSENIC KITCHEN REVIVES “G.S.S.” WITH BRAND NEW VIDEO
Arsenic Kitchen are eager to share new music in 2025 and they’re wasting no time with their latest video for “G.S.S.”
The post-hardcore group is revisiting their debut single with a fresh perspective as they premiere their newest video full of pop culture parodies, from telenovelas to infomercials.
“G.S.S.” reflects the band’s influences from 80’s rock-inspired riffs to arpeggiated synth echoing 2010’s metalcore. Arsenic Kitchen’s lyrical sarcasm shines through as well - “I’ve got a bad case of / I just don’t give a shit,” vocalist Lucas Fulmer sings in the chorus.
Guitarist Blake Miller touched on writing the first ever Arsenic Kitchen song and how he’s maintained the track’s spirit through the years:
“It's about giving up on all of the stuff that makes you feel like you can't do things or live life to the fullest. Say what you want, do what you want, say what you're feeling - be genuine, ya know?”
The “G.S.S.” video started as a content shoot for social media, but with help from their videographer Jasmine Berber, the band began piecing together a music video poking fun at cable TV & media.
The result is a collection of goofy moments - in one shot, the band is in all-white, boy-band style; in another, they’re hosting the Arsenic Kitchen cooking show. Miller plays an escaped convict turned pill-pedaling salesman, while Fulmer and drummer Jonathan Bresar take on ghost hunting.
“We all like joking around and being ridiculous. This song was the chance for us to put that into our music & in the video. We don't get the chance to do that often because our music tends to be emotional and serious.” Miller said.
“G.S.S.” follows the band’s cover of Linkin Park’s “Given Up” and their Beetlejuice-inspired Halloween release, “If Only.”
